This was actually a sunrise on a day that was slowly turning gray. Thus, when I completed taking the photo it reminded me of night time. Nature is an every day wonder. We linked today with 52 Photos Project and the prompt was for 'twinkling lights'. I felt the photo above reminded me of 'twinkling lights'. I also took another photo which definitely has the more conventional 'twinkling lights' connotation. It is obviously the second photo. Yet, I love the top photo better. | Simplicity Collage A CREATIVE HARBOR SPIRIT COLLAGE SATURDAY Welcome to A Creative Harbor. Today is Poetry and Spirit Collage Saturday. We are also linked today with Sweet Saturday.  The collage above is one of my more 'zen' like collages. I find that when I try and keep life simple I am more relaxed and at peace with myself and the world. I am finding that the more I create the less complex I want my paintings to be. Of course, now I have confessed that, my 'ego' may waltz me around and get complex on me. Essentially, though, my style has always been that 'simplicity is beautiful.' | Man reading a book that happened to be Red Welcome to our world. As Zoe and I walked through the park today, I began to see the color red rather frequently. When we first got out of the car, I saw the playground with all its wonderful colors, especially red. This is truly a wonderful place as it surrounded by the harbor on two sides. The photo directly above is a lane that runs along the harbor and has park benches to sit on and relax. The park has two beaches, a ball park, a rest house, tourist center, old canons from a long ago war, trails to walk through and a marvelous place to embrace Mother Nature. |

This series that I am currently painting of 'She Spirits' was a magical and mystical moment for me because it meant I was getting focused and having a sense of what I wanted to paint. Until then I knew I wanted to paint but could not reach 'my passion' and really get excited about what I was painting. So it is a beginning for me. Now, I am wondering about your Magical Moments when you had an 'aha experience' about something you wanted to do or had already done.

DIVINE WITHIN US

| DIVINE WITHIN ME and ALL AROUND ME A CREATIVE HARBOR and linked with Weidknecht Planet Weekend Blog Hop (click to go there) SPIRIT COLLAGE SUNDAY Welcome to Spirit Collage Sunday. What is Spirit Collage? It is my own practice of making collage pictures that addresses where I am on ' my spiritual path' on this planet. I use whatever is in my 'art supplies' from clipped photos from magazines, to matte board as a substrate or whatever I happen to have to use as a base. I also may use crayons, stamp pads, ink pens; in other words, whatever works and is convenient. Today my Spirit Collage is specifically about my spiritual path. My belief is that the Divine is within all of us and is all around us. We are spiritual beings and beings who are spiritual. I try to stay on 'my path' by doing art, meditating, journaling, and walking with my dog on a daily basis and at times even able to do meditation walking with her. From that point of meditation and journaling daily helps me begin my day as centered and focused and thus, able to cope efficiently and effectively as possible with what the universe might bring me that day. Hope you will join me on my spiritual journey and maybe even share what collages, atcs, aceos or other art you might have made or what you do to stay on your spiritual path? Enjoy the day.
