Intuitive Painting ~ WIP

Taoism philosophy advocates :

'Worship by cultivating nine fields.
Diet, Herbs, Clothing, Recitation
Movement, Meditation, Creativity, Teaching
And most important: Compassion.'
~ Deng Ming-Do
365 Tao ~ Daily Meditations

More often then not my 'worship' involves these nine, I am better at some and my favorite for this blog is 'creativity'. On this blog I see creativity as part of my spiritual practice along with the other eight. I emphasize here the field of creativity as being very spiritual.
The painting seen on this blog today in various photos was begun after yoga and meditation. This particular painting was and is 'an on going a lesson' in 'letting go' and naturally expressing my creative self.

Along with creatively painting, I have been writing haiku which is below:

haiku

schooner rides waves, glide
over the ocean winds calm
sails luffing, wind building nigh
-o-

rock me gently, slow
ever peaceful within heart
boat rocking gently.
-o-

soul safe on ocean
peaceful, loving feelings now
course charted, lead on.
-o-

  14. Nice painting. I love the haiku. I can feel the boat slowly rocking as it drifts through time. There is much to learn here today as well, at least it made me feel this way and think about the nine fields of contemplation. Very nice.Thank you.

    Peace

  32. Hi Carol

I hope that you had a lovely birthday!

I am sorry that I have not been around for the last while. but I have my Mum staying with me at the moment and feel guilty if I don't give her my time and so haven't been on the computer much.

Hope all is well with you.

I will have so much catching up to do
when Mum goes home that it will take me until Christmas
to get through all the posts I have missed!

    Have a lovely weekend.
