  1. Your Cape Ann girl is adorable - perhaps not real...but feeling very real with a winsome personality given by the wry smile...the shadow is amazing as it is obviously not flowers, but perhaps a shadowy photo artist instead?

  9. Love your sketch! She has a bit of whimsy about her I like.
Bean stalk tree is exactly how that perspective makes the tree look.
I see a sleeping face in the hollow of the tree - very cool.

  10. OH, those daffodils brighten up anyone's day. But that tree with the hollow-tres cool (and of course, curiosity is getting the best of me wondering HOW it got there).

  33. Adore the daffodils and the cute little Cape Ann character...she has a definite personality! All the pics are great as always, but the one that amazes me is the tree hollow. I love looking at hollows and have tried and tried to get a good picture (there are many around where we stay in Oregon and a few here in Florida), but mine never turn out interesting like that!

  35. trees will always try to repair themselves (thus the bark growing around) the tree must have been bumped by something to cause that (my brother is an arborist - he tell me all these interesting tidbits)

  50. Hello...I love the "Tao of Pooh" and all things Pooh actually.. I love your drawning and haiku.. Yes I see the face in the tree and I also see a creature with a long nose of some kind.
