Through the Lens of Life and Haiku

Through the lens I view life more attentively now as well with writing haiku. Both simplify visuals and written expression for me.

  5. I'm a lover of reflections - so your black and white made me happy! I really like that Japanese thought/quote/word (don't know which it is!) that there is beauty in both the blooming and wilting flowers. I think that's one of the things that I like most about this time of year - it's such a wonderful combination of the natural world's many stages.... And, when we were in Maine a couple of weeks ago I went out on a boat with our host as he pulled in his lobster pots - a whole new experience for me!!

  16. Orchids are my favourite flower - I will nearly always have them in the house, it keeps me connected to Asia, but today I think my favourite is the wabi - sabi because of the sentiments of the blooming and the wilting - Beautiful. Is that a hibiscus flower?
