Weekend Through the Lens 42

'Don't do any task in order to get it over with. Resolve to do each job in a relaxed way, with all your attention. Enjoy and be one with your work.' ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

We are sharing this weekend with:

A cold wintry and windy day but she and I were out walking and saw this beautiful sunset.
The light always fills my heart with peace and delight.

This was one the beautiful nature areas that we found during our 'ride around.'
We actually went to the pet supply store also for a new suet feeder and, of course,
a treat for 'the assistant'. She loves going out and loves treats, needless to say.

Haiku to give you a bit of spring time energy.

'Her Highness' waiting in the car while I was photographing.
We have had such a grey winter or bitter cold that I had to play 'catch up' with my photos.
So she and I took a 'ride around' and got some delightful nature photos.

Some of nature's gems ~ Mallard Ducks appeared when I was photographing
the local landscape.

A Native American doll that I bought at a local museum and decided
to try sketching her and the baby.

We are wishing you best in each day. xo

  10. I have a soft spot for mallards as they were the only ducks in the lake nearby when I was growing up. Still looks cold, but awfully thawed out for January. Same here! :)

  14. Oh my! Your sketch of the Indian woman and her baby, brought back some lovely memories for me. My sister once sketched an Indian Lady, in her finest robe. Her beauty was very simplistic and humbling. She sketched a snowy scene once too, and then traced the lines with a subtle amount of oil pastel and softened it with her fingers. She only used a couple colors.. Light blue and white for the snow and the church with the steeple, and hunter green for the evergreens. It was lovely! I used to love watching her sketch or paint or use her pastels.. I truly appreciate you sharing your beautiful photographs and art with us all! They're lovely!
