  1. For those of us who don't get to see snow in our own environment, the prospect of lots of it does evoke images of much fun and beauty, but I can understand that, when it is constant and restricts everyday activities, the novelty soon wears off! Hope you're managing to keep warm.

  6. Carol, do you need to scoop out a place for your doggie to go to do his business? I can remember doing that when we lived in the North. So sorry for all the snow you have gotten this winter. You must be getting pretty tired of it!

  26. Carol, I am a first-time visitor who saw your comment about New England winter on Mari's blog and wanted to find out where you are living. We are recent to this area and living in Nashua, NH.\ as of Nov. Our native state is NJ and we spent 12 years on the VA eastern shore deciding to leave because we "missed" winter and snow. We still enjoy it, but wish it would have come in smaller doses and not one storm after another. Nashua got about 5 feet total accumulation from recent storms. Please stop in for a visit as we have posted some snow pics on our blog too.

  27. Hi Carol, I suggest you call Fed X and have them air lift some of the white stuff to the Rocky Mountain Woman ok? I have prayed for all of you snowed in. It would be ok if it was not so darn dangerous. I am guessing you are tired of it and could use a little color in your lives! I do love the photos though, thanks for sharing.

  39. Hello Carol! Your photos are lovely!
We are buried in snow and ice, too. It's beautiful but sometimes a little bit tiring...
We composed some kinds of Haiku poems at school, years ago.
Yours is so inspiring that perhaps I need to try it again sometimes. Looks like fun!
    Stay warm! :)

  44. I'm baaaaack. Just wanted to say that my grandchildren and I met the nicest girls from Tulane at one of the parades. They made sure my grandchildren got most all of their plush throws and a lot of the beads (and no flashing their fronts, either.). They were all on the volleyball team.
    Go Pelicans!

  48. Very interesting photos. Some of the photos of snow send a chill up my spine.

Excellent quote. If children are taught to enjoy nature, the world will be a safe place to live in. Modern man is destroying nature on the pretext of development. Global warming, truant rains, changing temperature are the end result of mindless destruction of nature.

    Best wishes
