'Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believeing that it is stupid.

Haiku for Haiku My Heart Friday

Sea Turtles are lessening dramatically in number ~ One sign is that horseshoe crabs and jelly fish are washing in with the tide which historically have been food for the Sea Turtles. There are many reasons why this is happening.

We are wishing you the best in each day. xo

  2. I hate the thought of sea turtles dying. I know this is a fact but it still makes me sad. I do all I can for nature. If everyone did it would be a better world for us all. Love your photos, especially of your cutie patootie.

  10. So many beautiful scenes! I had a chuckle at the fisherman sitting in the chair by the water - I guess fishermen are the same all over the world! The trees over the sand are all very beautiful and the sunset is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

  15. Oh Carol , I can understand how your heart is torn between GA and MA-both shores are filled with beauty-and the sea! Beautiful photos. We found a sea turtle washed up on the shore the other year at the Delaware beach and it was SO sad. It was all caught up in a fisherman's net...have also seen our fair share of washed up horseshoe crabs too.

  33. Sure is a cutie patootie. (Did I spell that correctly?) I was surprised to see how close the trees were to the shoreline. I don't see that here.

  34. The surf fishing looks so relaxing! I hate to hear about the decline of the sea turtles. Their reproduction rates are very low so it will take a very long time (if ever) for the population to come back.

  40. Hello Carol, for so many years... I thought I was a fish living in a tree... it is a great quote and I'm trying to put it together with your haiku. I so want things to stay the same, to flourish to grow, I sometimes have a hard time with evolution, and wonder what this kind of change means and what I can do to be a part of nature, rather than that fish told to climb a tree... pats to your cutie patootie!
