A SHUTTERBUG EXPLORES ~ Macro Monday

'In seed time, learn
in harvest, teach
in winter, enjoy.'

A close up shot of a cormorant on Cape Ann MA
Never realized how pretty their feathers are.
And, of course, the seaweed is abundant on the rocks.

  1. Double-crested cormorants are pretty birds if you really look at them especially during breeding season. When they open their mouths wide the inside is a most beautiful shade of blue.

  3. I think your Cormorants are prettier than the brownish ones I have seen here.
    Have a wonderful week!

  4. They can be lovely when looked at it that certain way. We have (in Florida) anhingas which look a lot like cormorant, but have even more of those stripey feathers.
