A ShutterBug Explores ~ Our World Tuesday

'Feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women
are already strong. It is about changing the way the world
perceives that strength.'
~ G.D. Anderson

Two schooners in  the harbor of Cape Ann MA .

The larger one on the left is the The Lannon and the smaller
on the right is the Ardelle ~ They are open to the public
with safe social distancing for a sail around the harbor
and out beyond the breakwater depending on weather.
They are both replicas of old working schooners.
They both, I  believe, were built in Essex MA.

We are sharing with: Our World Tuesday.

I love your comments, Thank you.

  1. Beautiful old vessels. It is nice that they are open with precautions so the public can enjoy them.

  3. We love seeing the schooners and a ride would be lots of fun!

  4. Beautiful schooners-and I'd love to sail on one (after I have taken some sea sick pills). How ironic that as much as I love the sea I can get quite ill on any moving boat on the waters...

  5. What a joy that would be, to come visit and take a sail in one or the other!

  6. How I would love to climb aboard one of these and sail out for the day. Picnic lunch, wind in my hair. A nip of fall in the air. Soaking up some of those last rays of summer. Ahhhh, I can almost see, hear, feel , smell it all.

  10. Carol - that quote is spot on. I remember well from my working days that strength in women usually gained them a bad reputation, but it was considered a desirable quality in men! The schooners are amazing - if they are that big in the photo, I can imagine what they look like up close and personal!

  11. Love the schooner photos! And both built in Massachusetts is a bonus.
