CAPE ANN SKIES ~ FATHER'S DAY







Imagine the spirits high above,
swirling like dervishes with
their array of colors.

Father's Day evening and the
Spirit of my Dad I knew was hovering over me
Sending love in all those radiant
swirls of color.

Like the cotton candy he used to buy me
At the Veterans sponsored carnivals
that came to town to entertain us.

Dad used to build merry-go-rounds
Out of wood and they were motorized
And turned with the horses riding
up and down just like the real thing.

It was a hobby for him
And my time to 'hang out with Dad'
And learn about tools and creativity
Amazing it is and was all there in place
For me to be where I am today
Creating on Cape Ann.
