'DEW ON THE ROSE' A CREATIVE HARBOR Welcome to our blog where we see life through the eyes of the artist's soul and explore what creativity can do for the inner spirit. We are having our own blog hop ~ Magical Monday and link is below for that is below. We are also linked with Macro Monday , Creative Exchange and Creative Everyday. (click on links to go there. The above photo, to me, represents the magic in nature and how we can all learn from nature. It has its cycles of birth, life and death. There is simple magic in the way nature flows. I am learning to flow 'with the river of life.' As I have learned one can not 'push a river'; it has its own natural flow. In learning more about Taoism and its approach to life, I recently read about the 'Three Treasures' from the Tao Te Ching. When one lives by these treasures, there is more magic, more daily miracles. It does mean life is perfect. Every river has its twists and turns. Adapting to those changes in daily living is key. What are the 'three treasures'? They are: Compassion ~ love for self and others, a deep caring, a strong conviction of love and kindness in your heart. When you act from that source you experience great courage. Conservation ~ is the wisdom to direct and use your energy efficiently and effectively; thus one can achieve optimal results with minimal effort. Humility ~ living in the 'golden middle of two extremes' ~ Living out these three treasures takes time. Living gently and lightly in each day and understanding your needs as well as others. Yet not forcing your need onto others. Respect for all. Wishing you all a wonderful week and hope you will enjoy the photographers at Macro Monday, the artists at Creative Everyday and will also link up with us here at Magical Monday. Hugs and namaste, and We love to have you post your comments, thoughts or questions to delight us all in the day. (especially ArtMuse Dog) We can also now reply directly to you on this blog if you have any questions. QUOTE FOR THE DAY: 'Those who follow Tao do so from their own predilection. There are no promises, yet the rewards are immeasurable. ( Deng Ming-Dao) |

Beautiful shot. It is such a treat seeing the pretty rose with the water droplets on it considering we are freezing to death here. Lovely photography. genie
ReplyDeleteDew on the Rose is so pretty. Especially here where another blizzard is on the way. ;) Not that I mind the snow, but the color of the rose is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the tao--what I know of it, anyways. I read the book Wayne Dwyer wrote about the tao. Very good. Can't push a river--love that.
Have a great week! :)
