Today, Thursday is a good combination of blogs to explore. ~ My Favorite Things and This and That and Should Be Doing Laundry. MFT is focused on people, places and things that some how bring joy and creativity to your life. TAT  SBDL is presenting all of that but with the focus on photography.

'Movement'

As a child I was pushed to achieve in school. Yet, I also had much  play time and had my box camera, my books, my bike, dancing lessons, swimming at the beach and my paint box. You guessed it. The message was photography and painting was 'play'. So I spent most of my adulthood in academia and 'pleasing others.' In my thirties, my right brain started to rebel and my creativity began to take a different turn other than being decorative with my house, my clothesand creative in my world of work. I began to find ways to paint and sketch. Yet, it really didn't begin to take off until I became a 'renegade' from the traditional world of work. I am still learning and playing; only this time I am in 'my element', painting, writing haiku and taking photographs. Grateful that I become focused more and more each day. Getting used to the 'solitude' it takes to really develop these artistic skills is another story.

searching through moments
gazing at the ocean, sky
reflections shine self.

walking, seeing beauty there
grateful I am here.
