Memorial Day Remembrance

First and foremost today, Monday in the United States, we are celebrating Memorial Day in memory of all those who have gone before us. So the above photos are a tribute to my ancestors, friends, husbands and all those brave war heroes who died fighting believing in freedom and the 'American Way.'


Life does go on so today we are offering you our Magical Monday Meme blog hop, Macro Monday and Creative Everyday. To link up with the blog hop see link just below the end of post. For Macro Monday I am posting the wonderful poppy again because it is a flower that is frequently used to honor our 'war' dead. For Creative Everyday, the post below is a set of haiku; once again honoring all those who gone before us.

thanks for memories
you fought the good fight always
proud of you we are.

honoring all those lost
to war, to sickness, to age
wherever you are.

we hold you close dears
heroes, heroines start to end
brave souls ever loved.
