Paint Party Friday and Haiku My Heart

'She sells seashells by the Seashore'

Welcome to our blog where we view life from the eyes of an artist's soul and explore how creativity enhances the inner spirit.
Note: Blog hop here every Monday, Magical Monday Meme ~ waiting for you.

For our Friday post we are excited for that is the day for Paint Party Friday and Haiku My Heart. I do believe they are my favorites to post. At PPF, you get to see the various styles that artists have as well as the various mediums used to express their creativity. At HMH, you experience delightful poetry originated in Japan and now somewhat popular in the United States. There are excellent poets to read and enjoy. What a great combination art and poetry; don't you think?

My Asian brush style painting is in the photo above and is of sea shells. This type of painting, much like haiku, is based upon simplicity of lines. It suddenly became very clear to me that that is how my mind and heart are happiest. When I complicate my life, which historically I did for various reasons, it makes for lots of anxiety and tension. Who needs that?

My haiku follows below and I wrote them sitting on the deck for the first time in weeks (it has been cool or cool and rainy). Do hope you enjoy them and will visit the other blogs and leave supportive comments.

Well here you are art to be explored and poetry to enjoy.

We suddenly have such heat that I am indoors again. 90 degrees and sticky tomorrow, to. But it will cool off again after it rains in a couple days, I guess.
Love the quote. Never be afraid to be silly or foolish and keep your childish wonder alive! :):)

I must hunt out the photo I took and see why this is reminding me of that trip so much... lovely memories evoked... thanks for that..xx
