|'She' ~ part of Gloucester Fishing Fleet|
Welcome to our blog where we view life from the eyes of an artist's soul and explore how creativity enhances the inner spirit.
Today we are exploring poets and photographers and are linked with Haiku Sensational, Aquariann's Wordless Wednesday and Sue's Wordless Wednesday.
My photo above brings back fond memories of walking with my Dad to visit the 'guys' and go for a 'mug up' (Gloucester word meaning 'coffee break'). The fishing docks are few and far between now; change has come to the area like every other town. There are no words except to quote Bob Hope, 'Thanks for the Memories'.
Haiku Sensational's theme for today is 'freestyle'. My haiku are below:
fishermen at sea
fish freestyle, independent
lone voyagers now.
fishermen's wives home
raising families freestyle
now voyagers lone.
change one constant here
moderation in life key
wisdom greater law.
Hope you enjoy the wisdom of haiku and the splendor of photos.
Hugs and namaste,

QUOTE FOR THE DAY: 'Uphold precepts, but be merciful. Gradually absorb until there is no need for law. Gain Wisdom beyond right and wrong.' ( Deng Ming-Dao)
That's too bad that it isn't like that, but it is the way of the world. Lovely photo -- we can still dream though!ReplyDelete
It's the constancy of change that so unnerves me!ReplyDelete
Great Gloucester pic.....did you know my sister was the first president of the Fishermen's Wives?ReplyDelete
No, Joanne, I did not know that ~ Remember I was away from Gloucester for 22 years ~ lots happened ~ or not ~ ~ thanks, ^_^ (A Creative Harbor)Delete

Very cool! I've only been fishing once. I really liked it though.ReplyDelete
Enjoyed those - especially the last. I often say I'm fanatical about moderation.ReplyDelete

Some inspiring advice! Moderation is healthy for body and spirit!ReplyDelete
Love the boat shot. That's a cool saying--having a mug up. Never heard that before. Your poems remind of times passing. Nice! :)ReplyDelete
