World Photographers and Poets Tuesday

Main Street USA ~ Cape Ann MA




Today ArtMuse Dog and I did a photo walk and the photo above is our Main Street looking east with Cape Ann becoming more of a vacation spot. Historically, it had been a major fishing port and the photo below is an Italian groceria that sells wonderful bread. As the sign indicates, it is still the store for 'bread for the fishermen.' We also have haiku for you today and that is below the second photo.

The prompt for Tackle It Tuesday was 'holy isle' and below is a very tiny photo. It is located on the Northeast Coast of England on the border of Scotland. Its location reminds me very much of the location of Cape Ann which is an island connected by two bridges.

spirit dwells long shore.

    Your main street seems a little clogged by vehicles - have been to Holy Island a couple of times - it is a lovely spot indeed.

      The Mystery Train is a music store that carries recycled vinyl, tapes and I think even comic books ~ not sure ~ thanks for asking ~ namaste, ^_^

    Awesome Carol, you live in a nice town as I can see on your photographs. And than ... that wonderfully crafted haiku triplet ... wow. Yes, the town is very wonderful ~ and getting even better as it comes into the 21st century ~ the ocean is everything here ~ Thanks for your wonderful comments about the haiku ~ love writing it ~ Your words are quite an honor as I think you are very knowledgeable about Basho and haiku ~ namaste, ^_^

    It looks and sounds beautiful where you live! Fresh handmade bread - yum! There's an island (St Michael's Mount) just off the Cornish coast that part of the day, when the tide's out can be reached by an exposed causeway & the rest of the time only reached by boat - this post made me think of there. Lovely haiku, spiritual & thought provoking.
