'Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.'
|Visiting my son, Sean and his wife, Janeth and family|
they have a new puppy ~ Suzy Q ~ 7 months old
and two cats bigger than Zoe. They all managed
to get along with many separation times.
Suzy Q and Zoe ~ two female dogs with 'approach
avoidance conflict.' Suzy Q, being a puppy, wanted to
play with Zoe but didn't quite know how it was
done, especially with a little one, like Zoe.
Zoe would stand her own and give Suzy Q
a 'what for' and Suzy would back off but
come right back ~ It was more stressful for the
adults than the dogs, I think.

Hello, it is great the dogs and cats all got along with each other. Suzy Q and Zoe are cute furbabies. Great photo. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!ReplyDelete
I love your Dr. Seuss quote! Those pups sure are adorable. Hope they get used to each other and become good fur friends. :)ReplyDelete
Ha, puppies are so cheeky thinking that everyone wants their boisterous attentions. Zoe would soon have Suzy Q put straight given enough time. I can see the mischief in Suzy's eyes.ReplyDelete
Oh yes, the dogs usually sort themselves out... but the difference in size does require a level of caution. SQ has the look of mischief and mayhem about her - much like my Jade had! YAM xx
Lovely photo and narration, Carol.ReplyDelete
It always amazing to see them work things out and not necessarily carry a grudge.
Some cats may be an exception to this.
Have a Happy WE!
Puppies are boisterous and when they are that large, you can kind of understand why Suzy Q expressed her opinion. Gus, our dog, doesn't like other dogs of any variety. It is so sad because I have a bad case of puppy fever.ReplyDelete
Sure it's more stressful for you guys, lol, you're always watching and worried but they usually let each other know what's what and sort it all out in the end, it's just getting there. Adorable pooch with a priceless expression. Hugs to Zoe.ReplyDelete
OMG what a pic! That Suzy Q is going to be a really big girl. She's certainly giving Zoe the eye, and Zoe is trying to just ignore her:) I'm sure they'll end up being good buds after a few visits together. Happy weekend- I hope it's nice in Cape Ann. We are enjoying a second glorious summer like day- sunny and in the 80's :)ReplyDelete
I enjoyed reading the Dr. Seuss quote ...ReplyDelete
Enjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
Oh, so cute!ReplyDelete
Great photo :)ReplyDelete
That pup looks ready to explode in play!ReplyDelete
Carol, it is wonderful when we all get along. Thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
Should be fun all together despite some difficulties! Nice bondingReplyDelete
very cute :)ReplyDelete
def more stressful for the humans, dogs figure things out on their own pretty well without any blood shed :)
Stressful but fun I'm sure --- and good for Suzy Q to learn how to interact. Not sure about the kitties -- we never had good luck getting our Siamese to enjoy being in the same room with dogs. Or even the same city for that matter ;>)ReplyDelete
Their socialising habits can be stressful to humans!ReplyDelete
What a cute picture !!ReplyDelete
Puppies, like young children, can lack a little social awareness and don't necessarily understand personal space .... poor Zoe!ReplyDelete
