Sadly, even the iconic red telephone boxes in London are going, going, and almost gone...
Such nostalgia. I saw many of these iconic British red phone booths on my recent trip. Abandoned. Derelict. But a few... had been turned into little libraries, or at least I think they were... it could just be imagination! Thank you Carol!
I love the idea of these old phone boxes being turned into little libraries! Happy reading, Londoners!
Hari OMYes, many are now 'repurposed' - some are even bought by private buyers for the gardens! YAM xx
Love the idea of the old phone booths used as small libraries.
Its a new world we live in. All new.
So nice to see a red telephone box …Liked your words. All the best Jan
not that many of those red phone booths still around
I love these old phone boxes. I remember seeing them 30 years ago.
And yet the more things change, human nature remains the same.
kinda sad to see such iconic things disappear. There's just something about these red telephone boxes... lovely photo and haiku. happy weekend!
I liked those old photo boxes, especially the UK ones... having a mobile phone is handy but a bit of the 'comfort' and mysic of standing in a phonebooth, calling a loved one, is gone...
This lovely picture serves as a perfect metaphor for your wise and beautifully phrased words. I can accept that things change , I just wish it wouldn’t happen so fast.
all those years in my youth-working on the Queen Elizabeth-the QEII!so many phone calls home across the pond to family. so many lovely adventures all around the world. thank you carol. i love that these private shelters of connection are passion red!
