A ShutterBug Explores ~ Our World Tuesday

'There is period of life when we swallow a knowledge of
ourselves and it becomes either good or sour inside.'

Early evening on Cape Ann MA ~
a dragger in the harbor fishing for eels ~
which are a delicacy to some peoples.

We are sharing with: Our World Tuesday.

We love your comments, thanks, ^_^

  1. Hello, nice view of the dragger. I have never tried eel, I am sure it can be delicious.
Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

  2. Hmm, eels...don't think I would like those. Have a good Carol.

  3. Nice photo. I'm pretty sure I'd have a hard time swallowing a bite of eel! Well... maybe if I was starving. Does it taste like chicken?

  4. It's fun to watch the boats on the water, even if i am not a fan of eating eels.

  5. That is interesting, I've eaten every kind of fish there is I think except eels. I'd like to try that sometime.

In the meantime I am a sucker for photos of fishing boats.

Great post. Have a great day!!

  6. Hari OM
LOL - yes, well, acquired taste, eh?! YAM xx

  7. I would try them! In fact, I think maybe I already have , in sushi! I’m sure the people on that boat are too busy to enjoy the beauty that they’re working in.

  8. I just saw a show where they were eating 'jellied eel'. UGH... couldn't do it.

  9. Lovely scenery! Eels may be tasty and have health benefits, but not for me...I'd say eew to eel :-)

  10. Such a nice spot! I'm not sure about eels, either!

  11. Beautiful quote, and I love that photo - I've never heard of a dragger, having never lived on the water. I've heard that eel is very good, but never had a chance to try it. However, I think I'll stick with shrimp, scaredy cat that I am.

  12. Lovely photo.
Dragging eels away to anywhere but my table is a good thing.

  13. Eels are rarely caught here and nice shot !

  14. I have tried some eels in Japan and they were deliciously prepared and don;t look like eels at all. Eels are also a delicacy here in the Philippines but I don;t enjoy the way it is prepared here. Safe Sail to that boat and hugs to you and Zoe!

  15. You have a collection of thought inspiring quotes.

    Worth a Thousand Words

  16. Carol - diversity makes the world go 'round - I'll leave the eels to others!
