'The first supermarket supposedly appeared on the American landscape in 1946.
That is not so long ago. Until then, where was all the food? Dear Folks,
the food was in homes, gardens, local fields and forests. It was near kitchens,
near tables, near bedsides. It was in the pantry, the cellar, the backyard.'

ReplyDeleteI love the deep blue water and the stiff wind holding the flags straight.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful scene! Yes, some folks these days think the food only comes from the grocery stores, it's sad.

ReplyDeleteIt does look like a beautiful day with a breeze to keep you cooler.
ReplyDeleteThe quote brought back some nice memories for me. My parents had one of those neighborhood groceries when I was very young. When the big super market came to town it put them out of business. I can remember when my Dad went to work for the Super Market. He wasn't there long.
You have the wind just right for all those flags to wave!
ReplyDeleteI love the water view!
