  2. Cormorants must winter here. During the winter we saw them every day we walked on the Shelley Lake trail. There are pilings they like to sun on. Maybe I'm more observant know but I only recall seeing them in the last few years.

  3. We have them here too. An invasive species that does a lot of harm to other birds and fisheries.

    I just read your comment and want to say I always watch for the post to publish. However, TWICE I got a message that read "Failed to publish. Try again later." No mistake. It simply didn't publish. It's not the first time that has happened to me, and it is only on comments that are embedded like yours.

  11. great shot! I have seen these birds in Cape May - usually in September when I believe they are migrating.
