A ShutterBug Explores ~ Saturday Critters

A raccoon came for dinner on Cape Ann MA
(eating the hummingbird feed) nothing would make him move!)

Critter really enjoyed the hummingbird feed. Not going to keep it up ~ sorry hummingbirds ~ In fact took all the feeders down ~ won't put up again until September.

  1. Hello,
    I would not like to see a raccoon hanging around. But, I do feel sorry for the hummingbirds. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.

  2. Racoons are very proud of their bandit mask....and they are pigs.
    Determination is their middle name.
    Send the hummers to me.. I only have one feeder that is like grand central station

  3. We've had one come to our bird feeder so we close it off with weights at night. They can clean one out at one time. Have a good weekend!

  4. Darn, that's a masked bandit for sure! Poor hummingbirds will miss their buffet.

  5. Raccoons are cool critters but they wreak havoc on our backyard feeders.

  6. Anything left out at night is fair game for these little guys.

  7. Hello Carol :=)
    I don't have that problem here in Portugal, no Racoons, and no Humming birds.
    Enjoy the rest of the weekend
    All the best

  8. Raccoons are a very determined lot. Where I used to live they chewed a hole in the bottom of my compost bin.

  9. Cute, but necessary to bring down bird feeders. The hummingbird, though, we keep up all summer. Lots of red petunias helps as well.

  10. Raccoons can be kind of amusing, but not when they decide they own your property and everything on it! We had some experiences like yours when we owned our home in Oregon (in our former life, as I call it, pre-retirement."
