PAINT PARTY FRIDAY and HAIKU MY HEART

ANOTHER  Asian Brush Type Painting

Welcome to our blog where we view life from the eyes of an artist soul and explore what creativity can do to enhance the inner spirit.

Note ~ Haiku April ~ is the tab above below blog header ~ if you would like to read my haiku from Haiku Heights challenge for April ~ thanks, ^_^

Today we are exploring artists and poets. We believe that it is the 'spirit' that moves through us to manifest our creations and that of others. When I trust and go with the 'flow' of the muse, my work is much more 'me', my inner spirit and my being feels centered.

Today the artists are varied and the group is growing every week. It is a wonderfully creative group and is hosted by Kristin and Eva over at Paint Party Friday. Also, we are connected to another wonderful group, Rebecca's Haiku My Heart over at Corazon. Won't you join on our Friday journey through art creations and Japanese poetry, haiku. You will be glad you did.

The above painting is an Asian type brush painting. It is of a lily pad flower and in keeping with the Asian concept of minimal energy and minimal brush strokes. My haiku follows below:

Dry despite the salt water

haiku

gray blue cloud sky
telling of needed rain soon
drenching, land parched.
~

forest closed, warning
land, trees, leaves dry, ripe for fires
mother nature sad.
~

soon, land, wet from rain
ease fear, bless animals and earth
does, stags, fawns happy.
~ carol l mckenna

Wishing you a fun and healthy weekend ~ ^_^

Hugs and namaste,

  3. Carol, I had meant to say a little more, but was just off out. Now I am home again. The painting is so eye-catching it came up on my sidebar and I just had to go peep.
Love minimal strokes, can't do it, but wish I could.
The words are lovely, I hope you have had some rain, we have at last!
Now you have got me wanting to write in the Haiku style! Watch out!
