Asian Style Painting and Haiku

Another Asian Style Brush Painting

Welcome to our blog where we view life from the eyes of an artist soul and explore how creativity enhances the inner spirit.

Friday, Friday, Friday Yea! Not for the reasons you might think.
This is our favorite post day as we share our creativity with two of our favorite blogs. They are Paint Party Friday and Haiku My Heart.  With PPF we share our paintings. With HMH we get to share our haiku. Both blogs are linked with talented artists and poets. Joining these sites has, indeed, enhanced my inner spirit along with improving my painting skills and my haiku skills. ArtMuse Dog is happy because she always knows I am happy when I am creating. (most of the time)

The above Asian style painting is a fish called chaetodon and is frequently seen in home aquariums. This style is done with a brush pen or an asian brush with minimal strokes and then enhanced  with watercolors or colored ink.

My haiku are below:

haiku

swim little fish home
coming to self always been
long journey round, flow.
-o-

 river flows its way
natural direction clear
can you be river?
-o-

fleeting mind no kind
peaceful, centered, focus
be gentle with divine.
-o-

This week has been a bit busy and strange. So TGIF, as they say. Wishing you the best in the day. Enjoy the artists and poets.

Hugs and namaste,

We love to have you post your comments, thoughts or questions to delight us all in the day, especially, ArtMuse Dog ^_^
She also thinks Google + is pretty neat.

  5. Your painting and haiku are again beautiful. I feel especially moved by the second haiku... it encourages me. I will try to go with the flow today and quit my resistance to all kinds of things that absorb my energy these days. I will try and feel 'river'. Thanks - I needed to hear this! Enjoy your weekend!

    1. I agree ~ it is possible ~ takes my conscious attention at 'letting go' and not being a slave to my ego ~ takes work ^_^

I can't figure out what the reason is for the "strangeness." Carol, have a great weekend and glad you already got your 2013 journal ready to go. I have 3 or 4 blank ones in the garage and this year, I've almost completed 2. Take care and thx for stopping by my PPF! Happy PPF!

  37. I looked deep into Art Muse Dog's eyes, the windows to his soul. What would we do without our doggies? Loved your brush painting. I went to an art show tonight called Water, mostly mono prints and monotypes. It was exquisite. Your fish would have displayed beautifully.
