Photographers and Artists Monday

Rosa Rugosa ~ Summer ending

Seasons change and in New England, historically, each season has been clearly defined by sometimes rather immediate temperature changes. The last few years that has not always been the case. We have had a taste of summer in fall and winter and then winter in fall. It's New England. As the 'saying goes ~ if you don't like the weather just wait a minute.' There we are. Today it is rather seasonal but could be much cooler in a few days.

Above is a macro photo of Rosa Rugosa, a very prolific flower on Cape Ann. Below is a favorite photo taken just last week on a very hazy morning. Another old Yankee saying is 'Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning, red sky at night, sailor's delight.'
Sure enough, the day proved to be very cloudy and threatening.
The third photo many of you have seen ~ an Asian style brush painting done recently. This photo is for Creative Everyday.

  5. I think the saying goes for just about anywhere...if you don't like it, wait 5 minutes. But the changes here, of course, take a lot longer to arrive...while others are having winter we have a mild autumn.

Your painting is so superior. I LOVE it!!
