Art, Photography and Poetry Monday

For Mosaic Monday and  Our World Tuesday
Cape Ann MA ~ in Winter Wonderland Again ^_^

Another 'snowy Sunday' on Cape Ann, MA ~ I think the world has turned around and we moved to Alaska and no one told us. Ah, tis Mother Nature having a good chuckle.

For Mandarin Orange Monday

The story behind this cute little 'cone' flower is that it has lasted in that glass since October 2012 or earlier ~ It is amazing me.
For Monday Mellow Yellows

The story behind this photo above is that I love sunflowers and angels among other 'treasures' ~ There is also a large print above these two items  of Van Gogh's Sunflowers. Sunflowers bring a smile and joy to my heart. With all the snow we are having I am thrilled with a bit of color.
For Carpe Diem Haiku~ prompt 'iceberg' and for Creative Everyday.

We are sharing today with these creative bloggers.

  1. I love your snow pictures! :)

We have had snow off and on all day....little mini blizzards then the sun comes out and all is still.

Not much accumulation this weekend though...what we had yesterday mostly melted so I'd say about 2-3 inches or so. Tomorrow goes to 40 degrees so it'll just melt and be muddy again ! :)

  3. Hi Carol,

Thank you for visiting my blog; I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. If you visit Stratford-upon-Avon in the spring, I feel sure you won't be disappointed. I would love to go back to England for another visit -- not sure when or if we'll be able to do that.

I love your snow mosaic; we did get snow here in N.C. yesterday (coming down hard at times) but none of it stuck. I also like your photo of the sunflowers in the pretty blue and white vase and your iceberg haiku. :)

    Have a wonderful week!

  5. Thanks for visiting Bridgit's Bell and leaving a lovely comment. I see we are very close geographically. I am just up the coast near Portsmouth. I have enjoyed looking at your blog and reading the haiku's, an art form which I greatly admire.

  6. Lovely flowers, the sunflowers are my favorite. We are having snow showers and sun off and on today. I think I was spoiled last winter with very mild temps. I am ready for Spring now. I can picture you sweet dog laying by the warm fireplace. Lovely post, have a happy week!

  7. Ahhh...good quote. Well, I do understand the weather of the day as I'm just north of you and it's been snowy and windy almost like the blizzard of last weekend. I don't think I want to give up the weekends to these weather systems even if the mid-week was gorgeous.

  11. stunning winter collage! I especially like the leaded-glass image.
well, we have something in common other than blogging- sunflowers! years ago, a student told her mother how much I love Van Gogh's sunflower painting so they gave me a calendar that had 12 months of his paintings. After the year was over, I tore the Sunflowers month out and hung it on the wall above my computer desk. :)

  14. Thanks for sharing your very pretty winter mosaic - but please keep the snow and ice up your way. :D Don't want any of it here - people in my area can't deal with that kind of weather.

  24. Hi Carol, you seem to have a very long winter. Others already have their snowdrops, crocuses growing now, I can't imagine how it is for animals who are not provided with heaters, haha! Just come over to my blogs and you will be given some warmth with my blooms.

The iceberg inspiration for Carpe Diem's daily haiku is outstanding. The dog comfortable repose is a nice little twist.
