Through the Lens Week 2

Through the lens I see how nature enhances my spirit. ~ carol

(Scroll down for the link you want) Thanks.

One of the few sunny sunrises recently on Cape Ann MA ~ There are signs of Spring yet it is very slow to come. Most people, I think, need the Spring after such a long winter here. We are sharing with Sky Watch Friday.

Sharing with Carpe Diem Haiku  with 'prompt' of raindrops.

For Haiku My Heart Link and Friday Haiku Link

(U) for Under deck pebble coverage and Unique bench  Cape Ann  MA. Linked today with:
Alphabe Thursday 'U'  and 'Sacred in the Ordinary', little pebbles, little bench for  Little Things

What caught my 'eye' was the composition in this photo taken on Cape Ann MA ~ I particularly liked the curves of the branches and the swirls of the water. I see beauty everywhere even in this photo.  If I stood in the water, I might have gotten a more dramatic curve, it was still much too cold and didn't have the right boots.
Sharing today with Black and White Wednesday at My Memory Art.

In Cape Ann MA's  little seaport towns this is just a 'piece' of Our World' coming alive for Spring. Although this boat, I believe is 'in the water' most of the year. Sharing today with:
Our World Tuesday Meme.

Prompt for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai was gypsy or roma ~ a very neglected population of people on this earth yet, I think we could learn much from them about what is important.

We are wishing you the best in each day. xoxo

Your comments are little gems for us. Thanks ^_^

  14. The sun is a little slow to make its appearance in your part of the world but that beautiful photo of the sunrise must give you hope that the warmer weather is on its way. Have a good week.

  15. Beautiful post...but that haiku was just wonderful, spiritual and warm - an inspiration. Thank you.

  16. Beautiful, as always. The Sea Shepherd reminds me of the one involved in Anti-Whaling. I need to get back to haiku; it has been awhile for me and I miss it. I agree about gypsies; they are often misunderstood. We have a few gypsy cultures (Irish, English) in America, particularly in West Virginia. My husband, however is of Hungarian ancestry, a different culture than those.

  24. That first picture is really nice. I like the pebbles too, they remind me of Mackinac Island.

  25. I love the way you put your posts together....your pictures and words flow beautifully. I believe we can learn from most Indiginous peoples about protecting the land and knowing what is really important as we seem to have grown away from those values.

  26. I do love the way black and white tends to enhance shape and textures. Nice shot! And I also really like your haiku and those soft plants catching the light!

  27. The black and white has great line and contrast. Well done, is not always the easiest to capture in B& W

  29. Beautiful! Love all the natural texture in your shots. Nature does enhance the spirit. I've used the "blop blop fizz fizz" on several different things. It works!

  35. That is the sweetest bench! I wonder if the Alka-Seltzer trick would work on plastic. I have something I want to clean that is too tall and skinny for a bottle brush to reach the bottom. I think I'll give the old plop plop fizz fizz a try!
