Through lens I see a few leaves turning, can that be?

I start posting late Monday afternoon and continue to add photos and haiku all week ~ Sometimes there is even a bit of 'painting or sketching' by week's end.

  11. Very pretty photos. But it's too early for leaves to turn - even at our high elevations that's not happening yet. Maybe you're in for a real winter!

  28. I very much like the intuition brought to the idea of the woven word. From this, b r autif i l word p hi ctures are created.

  29. I love the picture of the river. You're so lucky to be living in such a beautiful place! And yes, intuition.. I was thinking about that today. I use it to guide almost all my decisions in life and find that it always leads me to the right places. Love you Carol! xoxo

  41. Are the leaves really starting to turn? That's hard to believe when it's so hot here. I was surprised to see people wearing jackets watching an evening Little League game in Williamsport, PA. I guess it would be even cooler up by you. I loved the B & W with the two old rockers.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yes, I believe intuition is indeed a tool, one that ought not be ignored.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Your photos are always so lovely. I looked out the window yesterday and noticed the leaves on my neighbors elm tree seemed to be turning colors. Too hot (???) or is it that time already?! I won't complain. I'm happy to get rid of the heat and humidity, but I know not everyone will be ready for fall.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Love the photo of the tapestry. Interesting selection of pictures this week.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The "little flower" is my favorite! I will be glad to see the leaves turning--so tired of this heat!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Love the chairs! Perfect in black and white. Your other pics are all beauties too! Great tip with the cauliflower.... I can't stand it except raw in a salad (that's yum!) so hiding it in potatoes is a great idea!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yes intuition is important. We need to use that inner 'sight' more often. Unfortunately I think with all of the distractions of the modern world we often forget... to listen to intuition. A lovely weave.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Surely must be a few leaves turning! September is coming! Love that beautiful Queen Anne's Lace. One of my favorite summer "weeds"!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Love the b&w chairs, bet they're perfect to relax in!

    ReplyDelete

  98. Oh, I haven't sketched for a bit. I did early this summer when I wanted to capture the view outside a hotel window.
I found water color sketch pencils at a yard sale before we left and took them along. When you wet the colors they are more pastel than bold.
But it was fun to play with them.

Thanks for stopping by my 'begger' pieces. Seems our memories are always begging for the truth. ~Jules

  100. We always need to heed intuition as that "still small voice" within. Your haikus are lovely, and scenes of water, I adore the unhurrying gentleness and inner strength of the gentle cooing doves, so happy that one is visiting my garden now.

  101. A lovely harbour-side reflection capture Carol.
