Through the Lens Week 49

'Love doesn't just sit there, like a stone, it has to be made, like bread, remade all the time, made new.'
~ Ursula K LeGuin

Color I was seeking color amongst all the white ~ Also to give you an idea of the
height of 'snow banks' around here. I think world has turned upside down!

Do you see the two shapes of 'critters' nose to nose in the suet? It was a delight to see!
Simple pleasures for me.

How pretty our Cape Ann MA sky can be when there is not a snow storm blowin in yet again.

'Q' ~  Quick, get your camera' ~ Artmusedog was barking at me to 'pay attention'
something was in 'her territory' and she let me know of the beautiful doves
resting in the rare sunshine of late.

'Little Woodie' eyeing suet in between all the snow storms on Cape Ann MA

Had to remind myself what Spring looked like on Cape Ann MA ~ More snow predicted
this weekend ~ Can you believe it?????

We are wishing you'sun shine, lollipops and roses' each day. xo

Your posted comments add happiness to our day. thanks!

  4. Hi Carol, I like the quote about love and bread … never thought to equate the two before. Thanks for stopping by. I frame some of my photos slightly with a soft edge option in my ancient adobe program. :)

  17. Such a lovely area you and Artmuse Dog live in. You've still got a lot of snow - most of ours has melted in the last few days of warm, high-altitude sunshine.

  23. more snow....you poor things!! I think we're supposed to be getting just some rain. I love how you are able to capture the birds so beautifully. I have such a hard time because as soon as I open my back door(as quietly as I can) they fly off. I love hearing the cooing of the mourning doves in the morning now that Spring is approaching-albeit very slowly.

  24. Beautiful shots. By the way, I have noticed the thickness of snow.

  25. Great shots of the birds and snow scenes. You have had an incredible amount of snow.

  26. The only good thing about a March snow, at least here, is that it doesn't last as long as snow during colder months. I hope your area goes into the great Thaw/mud season soon.

  31. :) Your were 'quick', Carol. Good thing that Art (do you call her Artie?) was alert and not sleeping in the sun too.
The pictures are especially pretty today, I like the color you found for your snow picture. The blue street sign and the tired old red of the building are my favorites. Our TV said that you might get a little more snow soon.

I am happy to be in the Netherlands now, where the sun shines and it is rather a 'Spring' day with temperatures around 10 degrees celcius... but I DO love your beautiful pictures!
