A Shutterbug explores the surrounding areas of Cape Ann MA each week with her camera and her assistant. We do look for 'the magic'and sometimes it appears when we are seemingly not looking. What a gift! What treasures nature offers!

ReplyDeleteGreat photos, as always, Carol!! And, of course, I always enjoy a visit with ArtMuse!! Such a precious cutie he is!! I hope you both have a great new week!!
ReplyDeleteI like your meditation practice very much. Having something in my hand would help me I think. So glad it is warming up a bit for people and dogs ... The beach scenes are full of joy!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the kid's dad also carried a walking stick.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
As usual! - a great series of photos. The little fellow with his walking stick is very cute but for me the cutest of all is your own little dog trying to look fierce! Have a great week.

This is a joyous post. I love walking sticks. I have one of my very own. Even the dog has one. I hope you and your fierce little mate have a good week.
ReplyDeleteHello, wonderful images. I love the little one with the walking stick and the dog with the stick. Your furbaby could never look fierce. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little guy with his walking stick. At first I thought the big dog had taken his stick--LOL! Nice sketching. :)
ReplyDeleteHarbor dredging is something you don't see here in Kansas. Cool pictures for all your memes.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Harbor is a beautiful choice for the letter H! I have a hankering of going to the seashore!

ReplyDeleteWonderful photo's and so different to.
ReplyDeleteHarbour dredging...i don't see that to often, not living nearby a harbor... sadly enough

♫ M e l ☺ d y ♫ (abc-w-team)
we've had our share of dredging in our neck of the woods near Albany, NY
ReplyDeleteROG, ABCW
So lovely and nice photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the series you present with each meme. Harbor is indeed unique, none did it this week I think.
ReplyDeleteHappy ABCW!
Wow, Carol, you post with a lot of blogging groups. I knew that but today it hit me, I wouldn't be able to keep up with all the comments that you get.
ReplyDeleteArt looks like a demanding dog, like some women can give a 'freezing you out look.' Also the kids at the playground are well dressed for the cold. Here I have only worn my leather jacket two times this winter. We haven't had a freeze yet.
Is the Lighthouse a part of the park or is it a real operational lighthouse?
..
Hi Jim ~ the lighthouses are part of the play ground ~ thanks for asking ~ We are in the cold and wind of March and possibly a bit of snow on Friday morning ~ Really ready for Spring ~
DeleteHappy Week to you ~ ^_^
That pic for Warm Heart Wednesday has to be one of the cutest I've seen! Love it!!
ReplyDelete=)
The little hiker is a cutie. Your photos of him are darling. Artmuse Dog has an adorable ferocious frown. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, I hope you are doing well and Artmuse dog too. I can not stop smiling when I see photos of the lil furry sweetheart. I hope you and Pamela were able to talk. She is the founder of the Sheltering:Postmark so I wanted to make sure she spoke with you. She does it in honor of her mom and I have enjoyed sending lots of encouragement out to many folks. I am sure by now you have heard that Smiling Sally (DiStefano) passed away. Goodness, it has been sad at blog world. First EG CameraGirl and her hubby and now Sally. It is hard to lose those we grow to love here. I am never disappointed when I visit here, your shares are always so comforting, so beautiful, so inspiring and just plain happy. Thank you for being a great blog friend. Stay warm and enjoy your week. xo
ReplyDeleteGreat post for 1st of March.. Lovely photos
ReplyDeleteAll of your pictures this week were wonderful, but I keep coming back to the little boy with his working stick all bundled up for the cold temps. He makes me think of Eloise when she was little, and Buddy and I ordered her some children's skiing poles and painted them pink. She was the cutest thing with them on the trails. They do not make real hiking stick for little ones. I am like you...before I take a photo of any children, I always ask the parents. That way I do not have to blur out the faces. It was nice to see your baby out and about this week.
ReplyDeletelove the set of monster rocks. came for the fences left loving the rock formations. ( :
ReplyDeleteThe little boy, isn't he gorgeous Carol.
ReplyDeleteLove the walking stick, Carol!! Hope you had a good winter.
ReplyDeleteThat little boy was adorable. It was nice his dad allowed you to take his photo.
ReplyDeleteYour fence shot is nice, the wavy curves of the fence are fun and that was a cute little bird house.
Both dogs are wonderful. Yours does have a funny expression on it's face.
Nice Haiku...it's coming slowly but surely.
Oh love the little boy with the walking stick so cute and great images on all your days. Hug B
ReplyDeleteThat little boy sure was cute. Good to hear that the weather is warming up. Yes, she does look fierce, but she probably has a lot of patience with you and the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI there was I thinking ArtMuseDog's look was saying, no I'm not picking up a stick to tie in with your theme:) How nice to watch the ships go by. The spring flowers have arrived here but still waiting for some spring sunshine to go with them.
ReplyDeletethe little guy with his stick and the dog with its stick should be buddies. :) like the swoops in the fence and the swooping tree branch that follows it.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Doggy has walking stick, too. Art Muse Dog is so scary today!
ReplyDelete~
What a beautiful assortment off pics!

So glad to hear that your part of the world is warming up! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo much to see and feel as weather invites you out to rediscover warmth on the breeze.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Carol, so happy to see some ground showing through all the snow! You can feel everyone's exhuberance of being out and about! I think your Zoe has been talking to my Leo, because he has started to give me the don't take my photo look! I had a fun thought... that the dog-friend on the beach found the boys walking stick! Wouldn't that make a great story? Thank you for taking us along in your beautiful, beautiful world!
ReplyDeletei always enjoy seeing children playing outdoors, and getting fresh air!!! your pups are adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing could be more welcome than springs arrival.
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful images. It is starting to look a bit like spring. That first image is adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove that fence picture. Glad that spring has finally arrived. :)
ReplyDeleteA great series of photos!
ReplyDeleteThe little boy and the dog know that the simplest toys are the best - they stimulate the imagination!
Hello, I always enjoy seeing your cute furbaby! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy and have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful eclectic mix of shot Carol. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe little guy is so cute. I love the joy and openness of children and how he didn't have any embarrassment about posing like some of us adults would, lol. The scenic shots are lovely and it looks like you are having a break in the Winter weather.
ReplyDeleteIndeed-such a fierce look! I'm sure it all melts away as soon as she knows she's going for a walk!

ReplyDeleteWow... lots and lots of joyful aspects, colors, meanings; amazing quotes for soul, a clear blue sky saying that Spring is close... Artmuse Dog, the little one is so funny...so cute!! Great idea of your book of thoughts and sketches...
ReplyDelete*-* oh yes..."spring slowly arrives" and "It is a happy talent to know how to play."
