  2. We've been having almost daily thunderstorms too, carol due t the excessive heat this summer. I am actually looking forward to winter ;) Your journal drawings are so sweet and whimsical. Have a wonderful week

  3. just got a break from several severe thunderstorms that rolled thru the last few hours. but we really needed the rain and a bit of cooling off after record heat the last few days. Gorgeous atmospheric feel of the first two photos. Really beautiful haiku. You know I love the etigamis, and it goes without saying how I feel about sweet Zoe:) Happy week to you and yours!

  4. I've never heard of etegami!!! Live and learn!

  5. I love summer thunderstorms - we get a lot of them around here, but near the ocean you must see some amazing storms.

  6. I love your stormy skies! We had dark skies tonight but no rain. Love your sweet little bird in your art too. Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane

  7. What is that critter of a different sort? It looks like a net. It was a great mother nature's moon.

  10. I don't mind summer thunderstorms simply because they don't last long. It's the days of rain I hate. Smart place you stayed in London Carol - very upmarket.

  14. I hope the weather at your place is just as good ads overhere. Finally some sunshine and summerwarmth.

  15. I bet the moon looks fabulous coming up over the ocean. What a sight.
I love your postcards. Sweet. We have been having the thunder but the rain is going around us, which means, I am watering a lot. Then of course the heat is unbearable after about 10 a.m. I love those wire sculptures. There is an artist in the UK that does fairies that twirl in the wind. I want one so bad. It is on my 'if I win the lottery' list. ;)

  16. What an exquisite photo post-thunder-storm. We get thunder storms here in southeastern Alberta but they seldom leave beauty in their wake. Plus we have to spend the whole time cuddling our dog Lindy who is terrified of thunder.
Best wishes to you and Zoe

  51. Oh, Carol...Your etegami cards this week are wonderful. That last one is sososo sweet. I have a letter written but have yet to finish it. Have not forgotten you. My bamboo brushes and ink arrived from Amazon yesterday. WOOHOO. They are such fun. I loved all of our pictures and especially the one of the mail (How do you spell it?????) at the Tower. Was that part of Henry's. I remember it. How did those guys wear all of that hot and heavy stuff and balance on a fast horse. It is amazing.Loved seeing ArtMuse again and the moon and your haiku. You are just SOSOSO talented. Have a good week ahead and I will get my email off to you. genie
