Our World Tuesday ~

'On a clear day' ~ you can view the St Peter's Fiesta events
on the water. They have several, seine boat racing, walking the greasy pole to get the flag, the blessing of the fleet (fishing boats). Then there is a whole area dedicated to the Altar to St Peter that was established 90 years ago to honor the saint of fishermen. It is an event that runs for five days. There is music, foods, carnival rides for all ages and is quite the event established by the wonderful Italians that immigrated here to Cape Ann MA to fish. Although there are few fishing boats left, it is a time of tradition and celebration.
Something to be honored.

Despite the 'rollercoaster' weather we have gorgeous
roses and clematis growing over the arbor and in the labyrinth

I'd love to attend that festival -- honoring history and one group of the many immigrants who made our country so wonderful -- and in such a fun way -- all of that plus it is on the water which we love -- we'd love this.

Your angels and haiku and Zoe always make me happy.
