A ShutterBug Explores ~ Our World Tuesday

'We must accept finite disappointment, but
never lose infinite hope.'
~ Martin Luther King

Our drawbridge in 'up' position on Cape Ann MA.
This summer it seems it is'up' more than it is down.
Lots of boating traffic and auto traffic can make for
difficulties getting to town over the bridge.
Good thing we have another bridge ~ that can be a
summer problem too. All of it is 'time limited.' No worries.

We are sharing with: Our World Tuesday.

We love your comments, thanks, ^_^

  1. Accepting disappointment is a tough thing to do but like the draw bridge sad feelings have a time limit, too, so hope returns, thankfully.

  2. We stop often for bridges too. Sometimes we're on the water waiting for them to open and sometimes we're on the road waiting for them to close.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and lots of lovies to Ms. Zoe. ♥

  3. I'm very familiar with drawbridges here in Florida - always seem up when I need to cross the bridge.

  4. I learned in Florida in February that the locals have the bridge's "up/down" time schedules so they can time their drives:)

  5. Drawbridges are fascinating to me, and i can't imagine living where you have to time your leaving for work or whatever with, can i get over the drawbridge then. Just dealing with all of the traffic jams is bad enough.

  6. Boats and cars have to share the space along with the rest of us.

  7. Hello, the draw bridge are great for the boats and not so good for traffic and cars. It is a pretty view of the water and beach. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week!

  8. As I don't find draw bridges around here, it's kind of cool to see it's up! But I see it would affect traffic. Good to know it's time limited :-)

  9. its the same in the last town I was in in canada, a bridge on the main road in and out of town and a working fishing town makes for some sitting around in a car waiting for boats to pass lol

  10. Carol - ah, the joys and tribulations of a sea-side town. Seems you are quite zen about it - good for you! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  11. That's a big road to lift up! Patience would be a virtue if you are a driver in your town for sure!
